A MariaDB GUI for the work in front of you.
Connect to MariaDB, inspect your tables, and keep queries and reviewed edits in one native app. Try the workspace below with SQLite sample data, then download Rustable for your MariaDB server.

The real Rustable UI, compiled to WASM. This demo uses SQLite, not MariaDB. Browse tables, run SQL, and explore disposable sample data. Reload resets the sample data; saved queries stay in this browser. Real MariaDB server connections require the desktop app.
Yes, we support your silly OS as well. Windows and Linux users, you’re welcome.
v0.4.19 · Early software. macOS is signed and notarized. Release notes & checksums ↗Built for people who want to get their work done. Not clowns. 🤡 (Clowns may build from source.)
Built around your MariaDB workflow
- Keep connections distinct
- Save a MariaDB connection profile and give each environment its own name and color. Work with separate connections and windows without treating every server as the same database.
- Explore tables and views
- Browse database objects, open a table, and use filtering and sorting to narrow the data. Run handwritten SQL when you need a more specific query.
- Work across query tabs
- Keep SQL in multiple tabs, revisit query history, and save queries you use again. Use context-aware completion while writing and inspect returned rows in the result grid.
- Make reviewed edits
- Stage row inserts, updates and deletes before applying them. This workflow requires an eligible InnoDB table with a primary key and supported privileges; Safe mode is available when you want to restrict writes.
- Import, export, reconnect
- Import CSV into existing tables and export results or table data. Saved profiles support verified TLS, with built-in SSH tunnels on macOS and Linux. Windows supports direct connections or external tunnels.
Open source. Native desktop.
Rustable is MIT-licensed and built in Rust. Native downloads are available for macOS, Windows and Linux.
Early software, with engine-specific limits. macOS builds are for Apple Silicon; Windows and Linux packages are x64. Linux needs Ubuntu 24.04 or compatible newer libraries.

A few MariaDB specifics
Does the online demo run MariaDB?
No. It runs a real SQLite engine with disposable sample data in your browser. Use it to explore Rustable’s shared SQL workspace. The desktop app is required for MariaDB connections; this page does not connect to your server.
Is MariaDB tested separately from MySQL?
Yes. The project’s driver acceptance suite covers MariaDB 11.4 separately from MySQL 8.4. Rustable has a MariaDB connection type, while keeping the interface familiar across engines. Other versions and services may have different behavior.
What should I know about editing?
Reviewed row editing requires a primary key, an InnoDB target and supported values and privileges. Role-only or unsupported wildcard grants can prevent the app from proving the checks it needs. In those cases it rejects the reviewed write rather than bypassing validation.
Does it include a visual schema designer?
No. Visual schema administration is not currently implemented for MariaDB. You can browse objects and write SQL, but this page does not promise a full administration suite or identical features across MariaDB, MySQL and the other supported databases.
Where can I check the details?
Read the driver capabilities and current limits, or browse the source on GitHub. Rustable is an independent project.
